A childhood interrupted by war, abandonment, and the loss of a mother and father is a powerful and transfiguring occurrence. On some emotional level most of us can relate. I believe Spielberg's "Empire of the Sun," captures that experience and translates into feelings that we can all understand.

Suo Gan is a Welch lullaby of unknown origin. The lyrics are available on this submission; they are next to the video on YouTube, if you are interested.

    Hope you enjoy...

wow, this made me think of the letter I found addressed to my mother from a flyboy friend, who wrote to her about the attack. He was stationed there when Pearl Harbor was bombed. I just could not imagine what it would be like to have been a child alone during that time!

          Wonderful paintings!

          Beautifully choregraphed, SC, thanks!

My aplogies for the typo; I left the "t" of thousands in the preface. You guys are very polite to me. LOL, lucky this is not one of those controversial political stories; I would be called "ignoramus" and "stupid" and worse by some. Ha!
